Taxis
Taxis and limousines are the two main mode of transportation from KLIA to The Palace of the Golden Horses.

Visitors are advised to use the KLIA authorised taxi services. The authorised taxi operators have counters in the arrival hall and use a coupon system. The counters are located at:-

  1. The International arrival area located just after customs and before the public arrival area. The Counter Staff for the Airport Limo will be there to assist you.
  2. The Arrival Hall by Door 3.
  3. In the Domestic Baggage Reclaim area.

Airport Limo (M) Sdn Bhd
Airport Limo services is the main taxi consessionaire at the KLIA. They offer two types of taxi services namely the Premier Service and the Budget Service. The costs are as follows:

Premier Service (Mercedes-Benz E220, Perdana V6, Daewoo, MPV Fiat)
Fare from KLIA to Palace of the Golden Horses: RM91.70

Budget Services (Proton Wira)
Fare from KLIA to Palace of the Golden Horses: RM66.70

Normal Taxi Services
Normal taxi services are also available at the Palace of the Golden Horses and KLIA. Taxis run on meter and trip from the hotel to KLIA is less than RM75.00.

Airport transfer from POGH to KLIA
The APRICOT 2004 Organiser has arranged for Bus Airport transfer from PoGH to KLIA on a daily basis from 23rd - 27th February 2004. Airport transfers are available at every 2 1/2 hour interval from PoGH. To reserve your seats, please make your booking at the Airport Transfer Counter near the Concierge of the PoGH hotel.

The conference hotel also provides pickup and dropoffs to and fro KLIA. The costs are as follows.

From Palace of the Golden Horses to KLIA: RM120.00
From KLIA to Palace of the Golden Horses: RM140.00

Other Means of Transport
KLIA also offers bus services and car rental services. There are 2 types of bus services offered, the express bus and the semi-express bus. Most major car rental companies operate counters at the arrival concourse on a 24-hour basis. Chauffeur driven cars are available through prior reservation with hotels. For passenger convenience, you may return your rental car at designated car rental counters located at the Ground Level of Block D of the Covered Car Park.

The Palace of the Golden Horses is part of the Mines Resort City (MRC). Part of the MRC is Mines Shopping Fair (shopping mall) and Mines Wonderland (theme park). There are two main modes of getting arounc the Mines Resort City; Shutle Bus and Water Taxi. Shuttle Bus is provided free of charge, while a water taxi ride across the scenic lake cost RM3.00 a trip. The water taxi services will not operate should it rain. The fare for the water taxi is RM 3.00 per person per trip.

Hotel Shuttle Service

Palace of the Golden Horses provides shuttle services to KLCC (Petronas Twin Tower) twice a day on a complimentary basis. The shuttle departs at 9am. and 4pm. daily. However, the hotel does not arrange for pick ups from KLCC. Metered taxi fare from KLCC to The Palace of the Golden Horses is less than RM15.00

Integrated Rail Services
There are currently 3 rail services plying major routes in Kuala Lumpur. They are the KTM Komuter, STAR LRT and Putra LRT. The STAR LRT serves city dwellers around Bukit Jalil, Cheras, Sentul and Ampang, but intersects with PUTRA LRT at the Masjid Jamek Station besides intersecting with KTM Komuter at the Bandar Tasik Selatan Station. The KTM Komuter, Putra LRT and the KLIA Express intersects at KL Sentral, which also serves as the KLCAT (Kuala Lumpur City Airport Terminal). The STAR LRT and the KTM Komuter has a station within walking distance of the Putra World Trade Center. More information on the intergrated rail services can be obtained from the KL Central Website.

Bus Services
The hub of the bus services in KL lies within the Kotaraya-Bangkok Bank area. Almost all busses will stop here, thus making this area the place for bus transit. Most tourist destination, such as the bazaar of Petaling Street and The Central Market are within walking distance from this area. Bus fares are charged according to zones.

Taxi Services
Unlike in most places, taxis (or teksi) in Kuala Lumpur comes in multitide of colours depending on the taxi company. These colours range from, white, green, pink, yellow, purple and the usual red/white. Taxis are required by law to run by the meter. KL Taxi rates are as below:
