The renown excellence of the technical presentations during APRICOT achieves the main goal of this non-profit conference -- i.e. scaling the Internet human resource talent in the Asia Pacific region to maintain operational stability and growth.

I would like to invite you to share with this diverse community your well known area of expertise.

APRICOT provides a unique, vendor neutral forum for frank technical discussions on the technologies that are either at the heart of today's Internet or very likely to see operational deployment within 12 months.

It is the one time of the year that delegates from the far corners of the region, tear themselves away from their operational responsibilities... not only to find the knowledge that will carry them through the coming year, but also build the peer relationships to turn to for support.

In essence, it's the chance to dispel marketing hype and bring themselves up-to-date with the most recent technical developments and current BCP's, so as to be in tune with the wider Internet. Note: many delegates are unable to attend all IETF/NANOG meetings.

By contributing your knowledge and experience you will be directly impacting network and technology deployment here and will be able to learn, first hand, the practical issues facing current operations.

We hope that such an initiative is worthy of your time and talent.

Please let me know a.s.a.p. if you're able to conduct a tutorial (Monday Mar 1, Tuesday Mar 2) and/or speak at the conference (Wed-Friday, Mar 3-5).

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Robert J. Berger / Ole J. Jacobsen rberger@ibd.com ole@cisco.com Co-Chairs APRICOT Technical Conference
