OVERVIEW


Not all people can afford to come to APRICOT2001. Hence, APRICOT2001 has created a fund to provide fellowships to individuals in lesser develop economies in the Asia and Pacific region.


APRICOT 2001 is an educational and non-profit conference to promote participation of internet engineers and top decision makers by supporting them. The following people are eligible to apply for fellowship funding:

(I)    Engineer(or Network Builder)
(II)   Top Decision Maker in Government, Education and Commercial Sector

The object is to attract network builders and top decision-makers who are not available in fund.

The fellows will be provided with reasonable (local host standard) food, accommodation, allowance and complimentary attendance to the conference, tutorials, and all social events.

Criteria for Selection.
The Committee members select fellows according to following criteria to provide fairness, transparency and necessity to come.

(I)    Network Builders
(II)   Top Decision Makers in Government, Education, and Commercial Sectors
(III)   Developing Countries
(IV)  No limit in geographical region

APRICOT2001 Fellowships for Malaysians

Good news for all local (Malaysian) Internet/network engineers, network builders and decision makers!! A limited number of local fellowships are available for applications by suitably qualified Malaysians to attend APRICOT2001 which will be held at PWTC, Kuala Lumpur from 26 Feb to 2 Mar 2001. These fellowships are meant to attract network builders and Internet decision makers who cannot afford the fees to attend the APRICOT conference and tutorials. (Successful outstation fellows may also qualify for accomodation in KL, together with other foreign fellows.)


Those interested please submit your applications stating the following:
  • Name, Address, Email
  • Position
  • Work experience and areas of interest
  • Motivation to participate (a short write-up stating why you want to attend APRICOT)
