APNIC EC ElectionDuring the APNIC Member Meeting (AMM) in Kuala Lumpur on Friday, 5 March 2010, the following candidates were elected to the APNIC EC.
- Ma Yan
- Akinori Maemura
- Che-Hoo Cheng
In collaboration with the NRO, APNIC hosted a Community Consultation at APNIC 29 to give the technical community, amongst other stakeholders, an opportunity to discuss the issues and ramifications of the ITU's possible entry into the IP address management arena.
Outcomes of this Community Consultation, including video, audio, and transcripts of this interactive session, are available on the session agenda page.
Following input from the community a statement to the ITU IPv6 Working Group reached consensus and will be submitted, along with a report from the session chair and several other written submissions.
Six policy proposals were discussed.The following proposals reached consensus:
- Prop-079: Abuse contact information
- Prop-080: Removal of IPv4 prefix exchange policy
- Prop-082: Removing aggregation criteria for IPv6 initial allocations
The following proposals were returned to the mailing list for further discussion:
- Prop-078: IPv6 deployment criteria for IPv4 final /8 delegations
- Prop-081: Eligibility for assignments from the final /8
- Prop-083: Alternative criteria for subsequent IPv6 allocations
